We're very happy to welcome Selek for the first time at Drum & Beer 🎉

Selek, a Belgian DJ and producer, first made a name for himself as a resident DJ at several events in Belgium and Luxembourg, before turning his attention to production in 2022. His debut EP gained particular attention after being featured on Vision Radio. Influenced by Bredren, Alix Perez, and Creatures, he has developed a precise and effective deep/minimal sound.

Selek, DJ et producteur belge, s’est d’abord imposé comme résident dans plusieurs soirées en Belgique et au Luxembourg avant de se tourner vers la production en 2022. Son premier EP s’est notamment distingué après un passage sur Vision radio. Influencé par Bredren, Alix Perez et Creatures, il développe une signature deep/minimal précise et efficace.

Le thème de notre 39e édition est la Deep Drum & Bass, le sous-genre qui met le point focal sur la ligne de basse, où les fréquences du milieu et du haut de notre spectre auditif sont utilisées avec une grande parcimonie 🔊🔉🔊

Nous avons donc invités trois DJs (et producteurs 👀) spécialisés dans ce sous-genre:
Grintax, Rotor, et Selek 🔥

Nous connaissons Grintax et Rotor depuis longtemps. D'abord parce que nous apprécions les retrouver dans le public et passer du temps avec eux lorsque nous sortons danser. Ensuite comme DJs, car nous aimons leur technique et leur sélection. Mais aussi comme membres actifs de la scène Drum & Bass Belge ; lorsque vous les voyez à un événement, il y a de grandes chances qu'ils occupent un rôle dans son organisation. Et finalement comme producteurs, car ils produisent tous deux des tracks qui nous font tirer de sacrées bassfaces 😤

Nous avons également invité Selek, car Grintax nous l'a recommandé, et que nous avons apprécié ses productions et ainsi que les sets que nous avons pu écouter 👌

Ce sont donc trois amis, DJs, producteurs, membres actifs de la scène DnB Belge francophone, que vous retrouverez derrière les platines ce samedi 23 mai ❤
