When the squad comes in looking 💯

We had the best time shooting new headshots and photos for the Ross and Cristaldi law firm this weekend!Truly one of the best groups I’ve had the please shooting so far!Nervous about shooting your photos?Don’t be!A few of my favorite tips are:

1️⃣ Relax!I have everyone take a deep breath, relax their shoulders and have a good laugh!

2️⃣ Wear a cute, but comfortable, outfit.Do you feel better in pants over a dress?Wear what makes you feel confident and strong!

3️⃣ Location is key!We’ll work together to choose the best location that fits your brand best.

4️⃣ Have fun! Photos aren’t to be taken so seriously.Let’s capture those in between moments of laughter or a cheeky look.Those always turn out to be my client’s favorite!

Let’s talk impostor syndrome!It doesn’t matter if you’ve been in business for one day or five years, the feeling is all too real.So what’s a girl got to do to feel confident and a bad ass?You’ve got to do these five things:

1️⃣ Take control of your self talk!Would you say to a friend the negative things you say about yourself?No!So why say negative things about yourself?Take control of your self talk and start thinking more positively!

2️⃣ Goodbye perfectionism and hello self-acceptance!It’s important to develop what’s called a ‘growth mindset’, which is to take the approach that there’s no such thing as failure, only feedback and that if things don’t go to plan it’s ok because you value the learning process, not just the outcome.

3️⃣ Push yourself to succeed.Regularly challenge yourself to do something that scares you.By doing this, not only are you continually growing, but you end up surprising yourself with your own capabilities and boost your confidence.

4️⃣ Write it down. Have big dreams and goals? Write it in a notebook so you can physically be reminded of and realize your goals.I do these frequently!

5️⃣ When all else fails, fake it til you make it baby.Ain’t nobody gotta know what makes the secret sauce so special.
