Blood Couture begreift Blut - insbesondere Menstruationsblut - als ästhetische, symbolisch aufgeladene Materie und als Ausdruck radikaler Selbstbestimmung. Blut erscheint nicht als Makel, sondern als Träger von Macht, Erinnerung und Transformation. Blut steht für Zirkulation, Übergang und Erneuerung - zwischen Verletzlichkeit und Stärke, Leben und Vergänglichkeit, Kontrolle und Hingabe.

Was gesellschaftlich tabuisiert wird, wird im Kostümkonzept des Schmusechors bewusst umgedeutet. Sichtbar, stolz und unzensiert.
