A few months ago, @jricci14 mentioned to me that I had not posted anything in some time. I acknowledged that I had not, but that was because I did not know exactly what to say.

I can not say I know now what the right words are or what people want to hear. My mind is often a maze of memories, thoughts, ideas, and reflections of times and places I have been. However, after spending three of the past six days out in the world with some fantastic people, I decided to share some photos of the past 12 months.

Being asked to be a part of someone's wedding is an amazing honor. This is especially true when they are some you have spent years getting to know, respect, and care about.

First, understand that I take golf about as seriously as I take other 'sports' these days. I am there to have a good time, support good causes, and spend time with people I enjoy. Would I like to win... sure... I'd love to win. However, I'm realistic about the fact that my injuries over the past 30 years have created more of a challenge than any game ever will. So, when given the chance to not take something as serious as possible, I do so with the intent of bringing laughter to myself and others. And for me, that is a win.

Better yet, today was a beautiful day in Wisconsin... It was a beautiful day to be outside... It was a beautiful day to support college athletes... It was an amazing day to spend with veterans. And I call that a win also.

I once again had the honor to testify on behalf of legislation to improve eligibility for veterans benefits in Wisconsin. It is a responsibility that I take very seriously, as a veteran myself, and as someone who works with current servicemembers, veterans, and their families.

Thankfully, I was not alone in my support, as a handful of Veteran Service Organizations, educational institutions, and veterans were on hand to support the bill. There was also near unanimous support from all Assemblymembers in attendance.

I had the opportunity to lead a breakout session and speak as a member of a panel at the Wisconsin Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (WACRAO) regarding coming legislation changes, the differences between veterans' benefit programs, and how they are applied at institutions. It was a series of productive discussions answering questions from institutions throughout the State, sharing my expertise while trying to keep the conversation light.

I had the honor of testifying in front of the Wisconsin State Assembly yesterday in regard to AB 231. This bill revises the members of the Council on Veterans Program; an advisory committee to the Wisconsin Department of Veterans of Affairs.

My testimony was focused toward the importance of the inclusion of academic institutions on the Council. The Council has been made up of Veterans Service Organizations since its inception, but the addition of a representative from academic institutions will add a needed voice regarding the needs of Wisconsin's veterans.

For the first time on the links this year, and the first time schwacking balls since having a pain killing hip injection, I felt pretty good overall. I crushed the first drive straight down the fairway (video) and followed that up by losing 14 balls over the rest of the course!

I am sure no one qualified for the PGA tour, but there were plenty of laughs, a few brats, and even more memories that I don't intend to forget.

For the first time on the links this year, and the first time schwacking balls since having a pain killing hip injection, I felt pretty good overall. I crushed the first drive straight down the fairway (video) and followed that up by losing 14 balls over the rest of the course!

I am sure no one qualified for the PGA tour, but there were plenty of laughs, a few brats, and even more memories that I don't intend to forget.

Its always great when a friend and former training mentee, stops by to catch up. It hadn't been too long since @therealofficialkrispy
had stopped in, but its always too long when we dont get a chance to chat regularly, like we used to.

Also, the visit yesterday made me think about the need to get back to coaching in the gym. It is by far one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done. Additionally, coaching has had rewards that have been immeasurable.

Last, I can say unequivocally, that when it comes to people I have work with in the gym, @therealofficialkrispy is top three. Dedicated, receptive, humorous, intelligent, and humble. What more could a coach ask for?
