Salmonfest
Salmonfest 2026 - July 31, Aug 1 & 2
Kenai Peninsula Fairgrounds & ARCHES Amphitheater in Ninilchik, AK

When we heard that Jackie Greene and Anders Osborne, two of our favorite artists, were touring together, we knew we wanted them at Salmonfest 2026.
Their performances often unfold “in the round,” with each artist taking turns sharing songs from their respective catalogs while the other lends musical support. Along the way, they weave dynamic collaborations that make the line between concert and conversation indistinguishable. What emerges is an intimate atmosphere rooted in storytelling, soulful musicianship and jam-based improvisation, a genuine communion between two kindred spirits.
Jackie Greene headlined the inaugural Salmonstock in 2011 and has continued to carve out an extraordinary career ever since. Rolling Stone praised his “honeyed tenor” and named him among “the most notable guitarists from the next generation of six-string legends.” Over the years, he has performed with an impressive range of artists and bands including Phil Lesh & Friends, The Black Crowes, Levon Helm and Trigger Hippy, the acclaimed supergroup with Joan Osborne. #bobweir #phillesh @thejackiegreene
Anders Osborne is a true musical treasure. Guitar Player magazine called him “the poet laureate of Louisiana’s fertile roots music scene.” A beloved figure in New Orleans music, he has been honored as Entertainer of the Year and was recently voted the Crescent City’s Best Guitarist three years in a row and Best Songwriter two years in a row. #neworleans #Summer @andersosborne
Hearing what these guys are planning for Alaska is getting us excited for Salmonfest’s 15th Anniversary celebration. See you this summer!#Alaska

The Sam Chase & The Untraditional are a San Francisco-based band known for folk storytelling with rock’N’roll and punk attitudes. Fronted by songwriter Sam Chase, the group is known for their boot-stomping energy, emotive lyricism and rambunctious live shows. That being said, there is an unverified statement from Hunter S Thompson that says the following about Mr. Chase. Believe what you will...
“Sam Chase is a complete phony. From his gruff-voiced affectation to his “man in black” wannabe style, you might get the impression that this man may know a thing or two about a life lived on the outskirts of civil society. You’d be wrong, but you wouldn’t be the first sucker that Samuel has fooled. It’s his ability to rip off so many artists that keeps him from being found out, hiding in plain sight while mixing the intellectual properties of better and more successful artists into his own signature (albeit unoriginal) songwriting style…. #folk #rocknroll #bluegrass #punk #alaska
….It’s hard to fathom how he has managed to maintain a career for so long, having played music consistently since his teens. You’d think the stress of being “found out” as a charlatan would eventually push him into a career more fitting of his skill set and intellect, like a parking lot attendant, or bowling alley shoe disinfecter. However, it’s his rabid fan base that won’t let him be an honest member of society. The fact that good people, honest, hard working, god fearing red blooded Americans could be duped by such a blatantly unoriginal and inauthentic “songwriter” is one of the great mysteries that will perhaps someday be solved by some other songwriter who is actually worth a damn.”

When we released the ARCHES camping link to the current ticket holders a couple days ago we were stunned by the overwhelming response. We sincerely appreciate and are truly humbled by your enthusiasm for the festival and our beautiful campground. Fortunately we only released about 3/4 of the available sites, which is good news for all of you who reached out to us disappointed.
There are a number of things we want you to know about the camping situation. First, we are constantly looking to add to our vast array of camping options within walking distance of the amphitheater. All RV lots, additional ARCHES sites, and other adjacent sites will be released in the coming days or weeks depending on certain variables.
Another point to remember is that even if you miss out entirely on our offerings, there are multiple campgrounds listed on our website (salmonfestalaska.org) that are still within walking distance and many others where we run constant free shuttles too. Most of those options are first come, first serve so you can't make reservations in advance unfortunately.
Lastly, we want you to know that we never have nor ever will take your presence, commitment and connection to our Salmonfest family for granted. We work tirelessly all year round to provide you with the best possible experience we can. If we fail in any way, it will never be for lack of trying or caring. And if we do fall short, please do us a favor and let us know. Your eyes, ears, experience, and the feedback you provide, both good and bad truly make it better for everyone. Thank you and we'll see you in less than 70 days!

It’s been a decade since Dead Winter Carpenters last brought their signature “rambunctious hoedown” to Salmonfest and we’re thrilled to welcome them back!
Formed in North Lake Tahoe, DWC mixes Americana, country, bluegrass and roots with a rock ’n’ roll spirit. With each member contributing as both instrumentalist and vocalist, their sets evolve organically, often pushing into unexpected territory and closing with a psychedelic jam that leaves crowds buzzing.
For over 15 years, they’ve built a reputation for shows that feel raw and unfiltered. Their latest EP, Sinners ‘n’ Freaks, leans into that road-tested sound, while earlier releases like Washoe and Dirt Nap helped define their unique blend of precision and controlled chaos. #Alaska #livemusic #summer #americana #roots @deadwintercarpenters
