Jean's Story 💚

Jean, has struggled with her mobility almost her whole life, and after complications in one of her four hip replacements, she is now paralysed in her lower right leg. This left Jean feeling as though she could no longer enjoy the active life she once led, until she started with Senior Saints.

Jean has now gained her confidence again, and a whole new outlook on life, that "It's all moved on from thinking I can't do anything to thinking I can if I adapt"

Jean joined us tonight, joined by a fellow Senior Saints Participant as her guest, to share her story with project Coordinator, Connor Willsher

Did you catch Leo Scienza and Saints Foundation on ITV Meridian Friday night? 😇

This was ahead of Saints Foundation's Charity Matchday, where our charity arm were allowed to take centre stage thanks to P&O Cruises donating their front of shirt spot.

In 2024/25, Saints Foundation supported 6,511 people, which is 2.4% of the cities population. This included:

❤️ 478 residents of SO14 through our SO14 Active project

❤️ With 83%of those participants achieving a positive outcome

❤️ Outcomes from the project improved mental and physical wellbeing, and creating stronger positive connections

Our impact begins with connection — whether that’s the connection between our participants and staff, participants with each other, or our supporters and the cause.

In the 2024/25 season, Saints Foundation engaged 6,511 people, helping 5,545 to achieve a positive outcome for themselves. Behind every number is a story.

Supporting Southampton's Health 💚

Last week our Health and Wellbeing team headed down to Sandown Racecourse to present at the NHS England Learning Improvement Network Event and share the work we are doing with University Hospital Southampton to help patients stay active and recover during their hospital stay.

Last week we had the honour of hosting this year's SPACE Masquerade Ball, a charity gala evening in support of Saints Foundation and Tree of Hope (Jemima's Journey).

This spectacular evening, hosted by Aaron James, treated our guests to a three-course meal, live music from the talented Tom Carpenter, and plenty of entertaining fundraising opportunities to raise money for two excellent causes.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we were able to raise a fantastic total of £85,565, which will be split between the two charities.

Martin's Story: From needing support to supporting others ❤️

This Mental Health Awareness Week, we wanted to share the story of Martin, who has completely changed his life through working with Saints Foundation

Martin came to Saints Foundation through our Saints By Your Side programme as he needed support with his mental health.

Since completing our 12-week Saints By Your Side men's mental health programme, Martin has joined Saints Foundation as a casual driver for our Falls Recovery project as a way to give back to the support he has received.

Ahead of our second leg of the playoffs tonight, we're proud to announce a new partnership with @sayitlad, the UK’s first anonymous voice note platform created to help men speak openly about their mental health.

Focusing on the football community, a space where camaraderie is high but the deeper, tougher conversations are often sidelined. Say It Lad aims to make speaking up feel normal, accessible, and part of everyday life.

Mental health challenges are affecting more people across the UK than ever before, with 1 in 5 adults and young people experiencing a mental health problem each year.
