Sculptor | Botanical bronzes, vessels & figures | Resilience, vulnerability & transformation. Represented by jaggedart

I realised recently that I haven’t shared my vessel forms for some time, even though they were one of the first foundations of my practice. These works began after a long stay in Dungeness, a landscape that altered the way I thought about structure, shelter and the quiet tension between fragility and endurance.
This bronze vessel carries an interior of cast bramble, contained yet resisting containment. I’m interested in the vessel not simply as an object, but as a psychological space — something protective, unstable, holding both growth and threat at once. The form still carries traces of weathered timber and erosion, while the bramble threads through it like a drawing in space.
Many of the ideas that continue through my larger sculptures and architectural works began here: collecting overlooked materials from the landscape, translating organic structures into bronze, and building forms that sit somewhere between artefact, ruin and living thing.#BronzeSculpture #ContemporarySculpture #BotanicalSculpture #Dungeness #contemporaryart

In my bronze figure, I was drawn to a look from Jonathan Anderson’s first Dior womenswear collection — its tension between sculptural elegance and exaggerated organic form. The skirt has been cast from globe thistles and reeds, allowing the natural textures of the plants to echo the constructed volume of Anderson’s design. The result exists somewhere between couture and wild growth: delicate, armoured, and slightly untamed.#JonathanAnderson

Delighted to have this piece accepted for the 2026 House & Garden Craft Prize.
A pair of vintage shears overtaken by cast bronze hyacinths — delicate flowers fixed in metal, spreading across an object once associated with cutting, precision and control. The blooms disrupt the function of the tool, transforming it from something once utilitarian into something ornamental and contemplative.

Time spent in Rotterdam and in Zeelands felt quietly inspiring. The architecture, museums, landscape and even the everyday houses all carry a strong sense of structure and clarity, something that has really stayed with me.
I leave feeling sharpened, with a renewed focus.Let’s see what comes out of it.

Made without a fixed outcome …allowing materials to suggest a structure, an idea, a place.

A bronze figure shaped by couture and surrealism.
This work draws from Schiaparelli’s collaborations with Salvador Dalí — where fashion becomes sculpture, and the body turns architectural. Also inspired by the deconstructed language of Maison Margiela.
Cast from organic materials, the surface carries both ornament and erosion. What appears decorative is structural; what feels fragile is fixed in bronze.I’m interested in how couture, like sculpture, can operate as a kind of armour — poetic, uneasy, and resolutely physical.#contemporarysculpture

A new year, and a moment to say thank you.
To everyone who follows my work, takes time to comment, sends messages, or simply watches from afar ….your encouragement matters more than you probably realise. Making work can be solitary, and knowing it’s seen and felt makes all the difference.
This year I want to return to something simple: creating, playing, experimenting. Letting curiosity lead. Making space for joy in the studio, and trusting where the work wants to go rather than over-planning it.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m grateful to step into the year ahead with you. #newyearintentions
