WOW that was so much fun this weekend. Special thanks to @aaronmencher for running the electronics and thanks to Steve Schick and @lajollasymphony for the opportunity to present Niloufar Nourbakhsh’s powerfully written solo “Veiled” in conjunction with one of my favorite orchestral programs to date: @n.kh.music ‘s impactful music, my unbelievably talented friends at red fish blue fish, and Rite of Spring.
Just a DMA recital left this Friday (info on last image [thx @artfactoryworker]) and then I would like to stop practicing because I am tired thank you :)))

Hi everyone! After much procrastination/hesitation/anxiety over more social media, I have made a new account for my portrait photography portfolio in hopes to ease accessibility to my photographic work beyond my website :). I will very slowly add images from my last several years of work and with each post, to give a bit of human touch, I plan to write a short narrative of how I know the subject, my relationship to them, why they’re amazing etc. yknow all the wholesome stuff. Clip from @lilawildy ‘s THRILLING cello solo work, “Chromatic Aberration” written for me through the course of countless FaceTime calls and compositional revisions. The end result, to me, became this incredible Kaleidoscope of melody, narrative, contorted left-hand shapes, and noisy distortion, with incredible lyricism at every point.
