Finally back home where it’s cold. ^-^

Still reflecting on my trip:
I was born in the Philippines and both my mom and my dad are from Angono. So essentially, Angono is my ancestral home. I haven’t been able to visit in over 10 years. With life happening way too quickly, it’s sometimes hard to find the appropriate time. I can’t speak full phrases in Tagalog, but I try to practice the very little I know. It’s always been difficult to practice when I’m not using it in a conversational capacity, but I’m still trying!! (work books and videos can only take you so far T_T). I also became extremely sick when I was there. My immune system was shot, which in turn has made me more sensitive to foods that I never seemed to mind before. It seems like a crime to be born on an island and not being able to eat mangos and certain seafoods. I also have more pics, it’s hard to post all of them in short periods of time. I’ll get to them eventually!!!

Hi I’m still here! Happy new year all! Couple of thoughts, I’m not religious, but religion is so cxnty here, the churches are immaculate. I do feel closer to God (wow 🙏). Mmm, feeling insecure about my hair, but when am I not? There’s so many kids at all the places, at all times. I’ve never been around this many children, so the baby fever is so real. Finally, I haven’t spent this much time hanging out with my family. Seeing my family age is making me feel nostalgic for the future. I love seeing myself in them and the reflections of what’s to come.

Another note: I’ve read over 30 books this year, not including school related material (hurray!).

Favorite reads of this year.
1. Apothecary Diary Light Novel Series (I want to be buried with all the books)
2. A Tiny Upward Shove by Melissa Chadburn
3. Some People Need Killing by Patricia Evangelista (need more Filipino femme political author recs please)
4. The Order of Time by Robert Covelli
5. Frieren (the manga lol- this still counts to me)

Notable rereads of the classics
1. Edgar Allan Poe, The Raven
2. Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken
3. Franz Kaftka, Metamorphsis

Send me your book recs pleaseeeee

Finally, I haven’t spent this much time hanging out with my family. Seeing my family age is making me feel nostalgic for the future. I love seeing myself in them and the reflections of what’s to come.

Another note: I’ve read over 30 books this year, not including school related material (hurray!).

Favorite reads of this year.
1. Apothecary Diary Light Novel Series (I want to be buried with all the books)
2. A Tiny Upward Shove by Melissa Chadburn
3. Some People Need Killing by Patricia Evangelista (need more Filipino femme political author recs please)
4. The Order of Time by Robert Covelli
5. Frieren (the manga lol- this still counts to me)

Notable rereads of the classics
1. Edgar Allan Poe, The Raven
2. Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken
3. Franz Kaftka, Metamorphsis

Send me your book recs pleaseeeee

Hi I’m still here! Happy new year all! Couple of thoughts, I’m not religious, but religion is so cxnty here, the churches are immaculate. I do feel closer to God (wow 🙏). Mmm, feeling insecure about my hair, but when am I not? There’s so many kids at all the places, at all times. I’ve never been around this many children, so the baby fever is so real. Finally, I haven’t spent this much time hanging out with my family. Seeing my family age is making me feel nostalgic for the future.
