100% old vine Pinot Noir planted in 1971 primarily clay-limestone soils with some chalk. Red fruits with spice and mineral complexity. Super typical salty mineral finish that this village is famous for.

Les Vignes Goisses 2020
100% old vine Pinot Meunier planted in 1962. This is limestone with chalk. No clay. Wild herb and spice character. Red fruits. More sand mineral character with tight salty finish.

Les Montants 2020
100% Chardonnay, rare in this village, old vine planted in 1961. Very chalky vineyard. Smoke and a touch of reduction. Perfectly poised. Fine citrus fruits from the cool location. Chalky and racy on the palate.

We are thrilled to see the new releases arrive from Frédéric Savart.

Known for his exceptional craftsmanship and elegant approach, Frederic’s latest releases bring a fresh, vibrant expression of his signature style.L’Ouverture NV & Bulle de Rose NV are back and ready to order as you require.

L’Ouverture NV (base 2022) Extra-Brut
This is Fred Savart’s entry level Champagne but it is far from one-dimensional. It is 100% Pinot Noir all from the village of Ecueil, half of which was fermented in mostly neutral barrel with the other half is fermented in stainless steel. The wine only sees partial malolactic fermentation. Fred doesn’t guide the malolactic fermentation, instead it is the inclusion of reserve wine that goes through malolactic fermentation because it has gone through more temperature swings. The wine has a base from the 2022 vintage with some additions from 21 & 20. Aged under cork, not crown cap. Dosage is 4 g/L.

Bulle De Rose NV (base 2022) Extra-Brut
The Champagne Bulle de Rosé by Frédéric Savart is a very special Champagne Rosé, Savart style, coming from the Premier Cru terroir in the village of Écueil. It is an assemblage of 65% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, as well as 5% Pinot Noir vinified as red. It rests partially in wooden barrels as well as steel tanks and has a low dosage (4 g/l). Inspiring Champagne.

“Savart is one of the great success stories in Champagne over the last decade or so. That’s no longer news. What I admire most, though, is Fred Savart’s relentless quest to elevate quality and his curiosity in exploring new approaches, such as the use of glass Wineglobes for some of his wines. This is not the easiest range to understand, as that experimentation also leads to cases where the 750ml and 1.5L versions of the same wine undergo completely different approaches in the cellar with regards to vinification/aging vessels and closures, something readers should note. The top wines here have been gorgeous for some time, but the entry-level offerings have recently moved up a notch.”

PERTOIS-MORISET // NEW ARRIVALS☄️

We are delighted to announce the arrival of our second shipment from the magnificent Champagne grower - Pertois-Moriset. Situated in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Champagne Pertois-Moriset produces elegance and mineral laced wines at exceptional prices.

The history of the estate began in 1951, when the couple Yves Pertois and Janine Moriset decided to create the Pertois-Moriset estate. Located in Mesnil-sur-Oger, Champagne Pertois-Moriset has been an independent, family-run business ever since it was founded. Today, the estate is run by Cécile, the granddaughter of the family, and her husband Vincent. Together they farm 20.70 hectares, spread over two terroirs: The Côte de Blancs, which is around 13.4 hectares, Grand Cru and the Coteaux Sézannais, which is around 7.30 hectares and is made up of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay.

The new vintages from Domaine du Clos du Fief are here. We are super pleased to have the Clos du Fief Beaujolais-Villages & Juliénas back in stock. This is our second shipment from this fabulous producer based in the village of Juliénas. This producer uses no oak – all the wines are aged in concrete. Which bring a purity, clarity, and drinkability to these wines, without them being caricatures of the region. I’m delighted to be representing these wines in Australia and am sure you will find great value and drinking pleasure! in the pouring zone!

Beaujolais-Villages La Roche 2023
The fruit is hand harvested from 40-year-old vineyards on hillsides with sandy soil on siliceous volcanic rock. Native yeasts are used in a short maceration, semi carbonic. During elevage, there is only concrete used. No oak is used in any wines we import from this producer. This brings great vibrancy to them, with purity that brings me joy for life!

This is a nuanced and flavorful red with sour cherries, dried oranges, spices and stones on the nose. Medium-bodied, fresh and juicy, with a chalky, minerally aftertaste. Drink now.

Juliénas Tradition 2023
The fruit is hand harvested from 60-year-old vineyards on stony, ancient alluvial soil, facing southeast. Indigenous yeasts, 10-day semi-carbonic maceration. During elevage, there is only concrete used. No oak is used in any wines we import from this producer. More compact and concentrated without losing its vitality.

This is streamlined and linear, offering a fresh, peppery nose of currants, cranberries, savory herbs and bitter grapefruit peel. The textured palate shows freshness and fleshy vibrancy, with a tense, minerally ending. Drink or hold.

90% de-stemmed & 10% whole bunch fermented in a small open vat.
Gentle pump overs then hand plunged for extraction till then end of fermentation.
Pressed via basket press then transfer to one old large barrel for 12 months maturation. Full, natural, malolactic fermentation. Small sulphite addition prior to bottling on site.

Pyrennes Syrah 2023
From the M.Chapoutier organic vineyard in Pyrenees.
100% de-stemmed to small open vat for natural fermentation.
Pumped over then gently hand plunged till dry.
Pressed via basket press then mature for 12 months in 25% new
French oak and old, small cask. Bottled after 12 months maturation.
Small sulphite addition prior to bottling on site.

Adelaide Hills – Chardonnay & Pinot Noir, both in the pouring zone.

Chardonnay is layered with a touch of new wood providing depth and texture on the palate, while Damon’s hand in the winery builds gun flint and freshness!

Pinot Noir is destemmed and aged in neutral foudre. Pristine in its fruit while still having spice complexity built in. Easy drinking, but punching well above its price point.
