A decade long worth of unforgettable memories…

It is with the utmost respect…that I am finally hanging up the “black button-up” from
55 South after 10 years.
**In January 2026**
Started from the bottom being a dishwasher…
to then earn my way up from being a barback>training bartender>pinned bartender…
It made me grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. With all the ups and downs I went through…it was well worth the ride!
Building clientele was probably one of my favorite aspects of bartending.
“Introducing a cocktail to a customer and they come back days later bringing 1-2 more people to try that cocktail…is what showed me why I love bartending.”

Many regulars have visited over the years and said:
“YOU’RE STILL HERE!?”
“I don’t recognize anyone behind the bar besides you!”
And while that might sound unfortunate to some…for patrons to come back years later and still remember me…it feels like I somehow made a great impact on their life.

With that said….it may sound a bit cliché among many industry people who leave San Jose…but I’ll be continuing my next chapter JANUARY 2026
in the city of……
SAN DIEGO!🙌🏽😎🌊

Whether it’s bartending or still being in the industry….who knows?
Let’s just say for myself and for everyone else to hear or take in…
Where ever you go and whatever you do….
DO WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY!😊

If any of you have any memories of us….whether they were good, bad, funny, etc….share them in the comments! I’d love to reminisce the memories I spent here in San Jose!

“You can take the man out of the city, but not the city out of the man.”

On that note…it was a pleasure being your
ice cream man and bartender!🍦🥃🍻
