Don't judge me pls xD As requested by some; Here is my Joker reference. Left one had the most stuff I liked - bottom left one had a nice play with depth at the start. There were a few other takes but as always I tend to repeat myself. My ref usually ends up being a collage because I suck at it and that's ok. It's just a great tool to explore ideas very quickly. Very soon into the anim process I ditch the ref and try and find the essence or push rather than get stuck copying.

You may notice the animation is quite different in some parts and that's because I had ideas later on or found poses in the ref really boring. And you can't do boring with the Joker xD
.
Now looking back I think there's overall a bit too much motion and explosiveness. Limiting the range once or twice would have balanced the shot a bit more. But oh well. This character is very forgiving hehe.

I actually added the chair as I was polishing, but I regret that. If I had it earlier I would have probably found a pose somewhere where he's leaning on the chair or interacting with the armrests. Could have been interesting to explore, but I was going fast!! If I try to make a masterpiece every time things move too slow. Finished, not perfect!

Happy New Year! A number of years ago @markhamill was inspired by Donald Trump’s New Year’s Tweet to use the power of his iconic voice most appropriately. I of course immediately downloaded the soundfile to animate it at a later point. Finally, the times compelled me to bring one of my favourite villains to life :D

It was so much fun. I was constantly giggling at poses and expressions as I was crafting and pushing them more and more extreme. I do love animation! :)
