We are so excited to be screening this excellent, Nordic/Bergman-style family drama evolving around an egotistical, ageing auteur played by Stellan Skarsgard, whose career is slipping, who turns up to persuade his actress daughter to star in his latest film; her refusal ignites old wounds.

This is a brilliant film and took home the Best International Feature at the Oscars earlier this year. As the majority of the film is not in English, the screening will be subtitled.

Attended an eye opening jaw dropping screening of @nebriefing , a documentary film about the realities of #climatecrisis facing the UK right now.
In attendance was our wonderful councilor @becky_wing2010 and was shown by @ramsgatecommunitycinema

It’s unfortunate that our MP #pollybillington wasn’t in attendance…

There was a 2nd short film made about #minstermarshes that highlighted the beautiful natural environment on our doorstep, - but also pointed out how it’s under threat due to the planned electrical relay station that might be bulking!
Made by a young film maker named #ConnorCurruthers, with footage by Keith Ross @ramsgatebird, and beautiful artwork by @benjaminfallow, it describes the destruction of that would be caused to Minster Marshes if the National Grid are given go ahead!

Connor will be present for a live Q&A after the screening.

Chris Packham gathered experts to demand action on climate change, leading to a National Emergency Briefing to inform the public. This resulting powerful documentary has been released nationally to much praise 🎥

We will be screening it alongside 16-year-old Connor Curruthers' film highlighting the destruction of Minster Marshes by the National Grid. The screenings will also be followed by a Q&A 🙌
