We caught up with Graham and Jazzy 🐶 to find out what’s happened exactly the last few days. I guess we know now what the community support we’re talking to him about.
He’s had to dip into what he was saving to pay for a hostel for him and jazzy. Luckily they accept dogs. But it costs £30 a night! So he has to sell at least 2 items a day to pay for that…. How is he ever gonna save up enough to get out of this situation??
I know we all walk past people begging and say… “why not do something to earn your money” BUT Graham and Jazzy ARE! He works hard to create and sell.
It just seems an impossible situation when your market place is out on the street and it’s raining all the time ☔️

In order to Make-A-Difference we knew we had to completely re-think certain aspects of the socially-impacting magazine model. This included coming up with a new Content method:
-First of all we wanted to create something that would last the test of time. A high quality publication in every way. We wanted every page, image and word to mean more. We decided to create a work of art that was inspiring/supportive, and also useful to our readers as a map🗺️
-When it came to Content we decided to focus on the energy we wanted to fill it with. Content=what’s inside. We wanted to fill it with a calming, loving re-assurance. For it to be made by loving artists, printed by loving printers… filled with loving energy and distributed by loving people. By the time it reached its owner we wanted the magazine to ooze with good energy and content… ment 🩵
-We noticed that there was already enough articles/sources of information on the subject of homelessness and other serious issues and realised that we didn’t need to be another. We wanted to create a publication that was article free, but would make the 10,000 people receiving it FEEL good. We’re content playing our part 🤝

-First of all we brought down the number of distributors to an amount that is to us realistically help-able. We wanted to make sure that we supported AS MANY of our distributors #maslowneeds as possible. Starting with the most obvious physiological need of immediate accommodation and worrying where to sleep the next night, week or month - would be great. But starting from the top of the triangle down TOO is also good!
-Rather than seeking out busy areas and making sales, we decided to make our magazine available for FREE. We share our location online and distribute to whoever has sought us out and/or those we spark up conversations with organically. Our distributors would forget about their worries as they focused on giving back. Our magazine is a gift 🎁
-Distributors fulfill their role by being present and in the moment. During this time they can do whatever it is they want, safe in the knowledge that they are playing their part in society and being of service to others. The time can be used as a super meditation. Honing in and focusing on one’s current desire. Or creating, drawing/writing. Or handling admin. Journalling. Ppl watching 👀Whatever and wherever you like. Sitting in a coffeeshop or when summer comes, in the park ☀️ (we are looking for the act of Distribution/sharing become a UBP - Universal Basic Purpose for those stuck on what to do)
-With this distribution method, we can ensure that a high percentage of the 10,000 copies we print per issue is kept safe and valued. Our magazine is one to keep in good condition.
