🌊🎪 I’m heading back to Colorado today with another overwhelmingly full cup. 🫶🏽 thank you @kineticartscenter and @octokate for having me instruct and perform at the 4th annual Summer Circus Celebration. It was an honor to experience this with The Bay Area community who were just so special, fun, friendly, and welcoming. I feel incredibly lucky and honored to have gotten to share in this weekend with some incredible people and make so many new friends.

This piece is for our community. The world feels like it is on fire - especially so at my other job where we are fighting endlessly quite literally hour by hour under the pressures of this a d ministration. Being able to take a pause this weekend and celebrate queer joy, resistance, and community what just what I needed to rest and rejuvenate before getting back to it.

🎭 one of the many treasures we explored in F L U X : movement, was to travel through a sequence and then reverse it. ⏪ this can mean literally, from pose to pose - reverse and see what new things come up; or, this can mean retracing your steps exactly the way you came, as if we are pressing rewind on the tape. I love this approach when I feel stuck or want to change things up because it offers a different direction of pathways where you can discover interesting movement along the way! 🥰 one example of this here was “birds nest, straddle back, wine glass, hips” and then reverse, or retrace your steps. enjoy! 😊
