Little Guyana is centered along Liberty Avenue, extending for about 30 blocks.
There are approximately 140,000 Guyanese residents in New York City, most of which live in Richmond Hill or South Ozone Park.
This makes the Guyanese-American community the second-largest foreign-born group of immigrants in Queens.

Friday, October 18th 2024, NLCs Game 5. The Temptations opened the game by singing the national anthem as well as Francisco Lindor’s walk up song, “My Girl.”
Pete Alonso’s also hits his final last playoff home run as a Met at Citifield and the Mets win 12-6.

Ernie Kane founded Kane’s Diner located at 44-15 College Point Blvd. in 1968 and passed it on to his children George, Patricia and Toni, who owned it for the last 15 years before it’s ultimate closing, primarily due to some pretty unfortunate family circumstances.
Even though Kane’s is no longer around the impact they left in Flushing is indelible. From all the famous folks they hosted to all the memories they created for all us regular folks.
For decades you could never go wrong with a steak and eggs from Kane’s anytime of the day.
We will be always be grateful to you especially Pattie & Toni for treating our family, and so many families in Queens, as regular V.I.P’s. ❤️

“The Manor Delicatessen located at 94-12 Jamaica Avenue in Woodhaven, Queens, is a historic German-style institution, with origins dating back to approximately 1914–1920. Known
Renowned for its house-made German salads, potato salad, egg custards, fresh deli meats and high-quality sandwiches, the shop has maintained a classic, old-world feel for over 75 years at the same location.
While some accounts cite 1914, owner Mark Gallagher estimates the deli’s roots go back to around 1920. It was established as a classic German delicatessen.
Mark Gallagher, the current owner, purchased the shop in 1999 after working there for 30 years, having started at age 15 under previous owner Helmut Bolowski.” @manor_deli
