The final stop of Microwave’s ‘In the Time of Hope’ project - 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙏𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙨 breaks away from the traditional exhibition format. It serves instead as an experimental testing ground, inviting the audience to witness a continuously evolving process. The showcase brings together artists and creators who use their respective media as tools to reveal, test, and transform, opening up a vital space for emotion and dialogue. Here, tools are redefined: they are no longer just technical devices, but extensions of emotion, methods of research, and a dedicated practice of care.
Miu’s installation features three screens emitting a blinding, sterile white glow that, at first glance, appears to be a total void of information. As you move through the room, you realize the art demands your physical cooperation. The text refuses to reveal itself directly; instead, you must catch its reflection in the gallery’s glass surfaces.
This ‘spatial negotiation’ feels deeply symbolic. It forces you to tilt your head and shift your weight—a physical reminder that truth and stories, especially those of a city like Hong Kong, are often right in front of us, yet remain invisible unless we find the right perspective.
