Starting next year, Phix & Groo are making a comeback. We are bringing you heavy old school jungle drum and bass. This is not a trend for us; this is history. Phix and I have been doing this together for over 30 years, from the earliest days when drum and bass was hidden in basements warehouses and back rooms where only the real heads showed up. Me and him have been side by side at every corner of every rave and every little drum and bass cave you can think of. We have carried crates battled booth space played to five people and played to thousandsοΏΌ and loved every moment of it.
This is legacy work that we built by hand. Phix is one of the pioneers of drum and bassone of the first owners of Bassdrive.comand one of the first person i did my very first οΏΌProper show with. No bullshit just real respect earned over decades. We have been blessed to play many stages along the way many clubs back when no one played drum and bass or jungle, except us οΏΌοΏΌand one that will always mean something to us is Shelter in the Pine Room. That room had energy that you can still feel if you close your eyes.
Look for us every other Sunday playing vinyl yes vinyl real wax real sound because that is where it all started and that is where we are taking it back to. This is not just a return this is a BLUEPRINT of who we are and what we helped build. Proper Chicago jungle never died and we are here to prove it.
