i wrote over2u at the start of my last relationship, and more than that at the end. if over2u is the self-abandoning headfirst dive into desire, more than that is the sobering coming-to after. i hadn’t moved on, but i was determined to, so these lyrics are part realisation, part manifestation ✨

i wrote this song in mid 2023. i’d met a girl two weeks earlier - obviously we were moving at lesbian light speed and everything was super intense. it’s a song about sex but, more than that, it’s a song about agency, comfort, the ties between physical and emotional intimacy, and vulnerability, all specifically thru the lens of lesbian dynamics. i’m not gonna write a thesis in this caption but i’ll expand on this later maybe

i whispered the vocals into my headphone mic in my hotel in florence, sat with the demo for a couple years, and now it’s yours x spotify, apple, soundcloud, bandcamp etc etc- link in my bio x
