Decided not to take the FTb for a spin this time around. Regretted it the moment I landed in Europe. My uncle was super kind to lend me his first SLR camera. A sturdy and still neat Pentax ZX50.

The aspect switch was not something I expected from any SLR. And for the duration of my trip, I genuinely thought it was only a matte placed after the mirror in the camera to affect the viewfinder only. After receiving the scans, I realised that the 2.35:1 matte is actually right in front of the film at the time of exposure.

So here’s to a bunch of ‘panoramic’ shots on 35mm. More coming.

Ambitious, thoughtful and detailed. A wonderful space for experimentation and reflection. Took some time for me to find a theme for the film, but had great help from Shakti to settle on something that leaves so much open to different interpretations and play.

Lost along shattered constructs, thinking nothing would have had gotten away. You can't seem to find the starting line and at the same time, roaming, hoping to see where it ends.

You'll keep looking. But you won't find anything. There is no rest for you. Only hope and loss.

It is a curse. And nothing will ever change that.

Loss is what makes 'you'. So, the only thing you'll keep on doing is to hope to lose again.
