AUCKLAND - wow what an incredible crowd to end the tour with. you were so kind to me and I really felt you all in the room with me last night. thank you so much for having me <3

last nights look was inspired by lily of the valley. I like to imagine they are little faery bells or hats or maybe cups to drink from and it seems I’m not the only one. they have a long history in folklore surrounding the fair folk, but what I keep thinking about is how. these flowers look so delicate but they are incredibly hardy and resilient. their roots spread aggressively underground and form rhizomes that clone themselves. they are difficult to remove once established and every part of the plant is incredibly toxic. I love plants that act like weeds. I know I shouldn’t admire the invasive nature but there’s something honourable about softness that doesn’t surrender to weakness.

WELLINGTON - the warmest most beautiful crowd thank you so much <3

saturdays look was inspired by orchids! specifically the aphrodite moon orchid. there’s something fascinating to me about the act of a flower, to intentionally signal for no other purpose than to be beautiful and to attract. there are ultraviolet colours and patterns happening on orchids that only bees and moths can see, can you imagine what that looks like? orchids are already so vibrant and intricate I can’t fathom what kind of UV patterns and colours are happening that i’m not aware of. I use fresh flowers in my makeup and I’ve been noticing something about their petals. they’re not just vibrant from pigment, their cells are actually aligned in such a way that they manipulate light and sparkle. look closely at any flower petal in the sun and you’ll see it shimmer. all of this, just for the sake of beauty and allure. flowers are evolutions greatest creation and they all have different ways of being and different methods of dispersal. just like us.

brisbane & perth

i am devastated to say that i’ve come down with the flu and will not be allowed to travel, therefore i can’t go ahead with this week’s shows :( on doctor’s advice.

i’m honestly heart broken and i hate letting you down.

all brisbane ticket holders will be contacted directly regarding refunds. we’re currently working on rescheduling perth and will share an update as soon as we can.

sometimes things happen outside of our control and i want to put on a show you won’t forget. i want to give you 100% and i promise i’ll be back to see you in brisbane soon <3

thank you so much for your understanding and for always supporting me.

SYDNEY - my home :) thank you for showing up for me <3

sydney’s look was inspired by foxgloves. the most fairytale of all flowers in my opinion. in victorian floriography they symbolise insincerity. I like to think of that meaning trickster faery energy. on the day of my album cover photo shoot I had planned to have these crazy long spikey sci-fi nails. something got miscommunicated along the way and one person thought the other person was doing nails and long story short there were no nails on set for me to wear for the shoot. but no harm done, I chose not wear any makeup beside real flowers for the cover so I figured why not carry through with the nails. I plucked ten foxglove petals off one of our fresh flower props and they were my nails for the shoot. :)
