Thank you to everyone who sent along well wishes and nice messages while I was in the hospital this week. The texts from friends really meant a lot. The full story is that last Tuesday I woke up with a pain in my gut and a fever. Like a dope I had hoped it would go away after a few days. I really didn’t want to go to the hospital during the corona times. By Friday the pain was worse than ever, and I went to the local urgent care. They gave me a covid test, blood test, and CT scan and determined that my appendix had already ruptured. They threw me in an ambulance to the hospital, and I went into surgery soon after. If I’d gone to see the doctor a day earlier I may have been in and out of the hospital in a day. Since it had ruptured there was a chance that my useless garbage appendix could infect all of the good organs, so it turned into a much more serious condition. Had some rough times in there, including the darkest night of my life, but I’m feeling much better now, and should be back to normal in a week or so. - Paul
