Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
Our vision is to create a world in which all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive. π

Imagine a world where #pancreaticcancer is detected early, where patients are guided to the best care from the moment of diagnosis, and where discoveries move from the lab to saving lives in years, not decades. That is the future PanCAN is building β by bringing together patients, families, researchers and clinicians to transform the future of this disease. π
Today at #PanCANPurpleStride, we launch our most ambitious effort yet, the $250 million All Together We Can campaign. Our vision: to make survival the expectation, not the exception, for the tens of thousands of people diagnosed with this disease every year.
Why now? Because this disease remains the deadliest major cancer and the only one with a five-year survival rate below 20%. Because patients and their loved ones deserve more time, more treatment options and more effective screening strategies. Because our community knows that when weβre united in purpose and vision, we can achieve anything β and weβre ready to take on this next chapter.
Comment ALL TOGETHER to learn more about how, over the next five years, the All Together We Can campaign will invest across three strategic pillars β forming a comprehensive approach to accelerate progress and improve survival for pancreatic cancer patients.

This past weekend, the pancreatic cancer community came together for #PanCANPurpleStride 2026 β and what a powerful day it was! ππ
Tens of thousands of Striders at events nationwide took steps to end #pancreaticcancer, showing whatβs possible when we unite with a shared purpose. From coast to coast, Striders filled walk routes with purple, creating a visible and moving reminder that no one faces this disease alone.
So far, PurpleStride 2026 has raised nearly $15 million, supporting critical programs that help patients and families today while driving research for better treatments and earlier detection tomorrow. Like in previous years, this incredible momentum reflects a growing, determined community committed to changing the story of pancreatic cancer.

A new therapy that targets RAS mutations present in more than 90% of patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma β the most common type of pancreatic cancer β approximately doubles overall survival according to clinical trial results announced today. π§ͺ
@RevolutionMedicines shared Phase III clinical trial results for a pill called daraxonrasib in patients with previously treated metastatic #pancreaticcancer. For decades, RAS was considered βundruggable,β meaning that there was no effective way to target RAS. These results greatly expand the potential benefit of targeted therapies for patients with pancreatic cancer.
PanCAN Chief Scientific and Medical Officer Anna Berkenblit, MD, MMSc, shares, βWe are standing at the threshold of groundbreaking treatments for patients with pancreatic cancer. Todayβs announcement represents a real opportunity to bring new hope for people facing this disease: hope for more time with family, hope for better quality of life and hope that ongoing and future research may ultimately lead to a cure.β π
Next, Revolution Medicines will need to take their data to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). If the FDA grants approval for daraxonrasib, it will be made available as a treatment for patients with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who have been previously treated.

Pancreatic cancer is often called a βsilentβ disease because symptoms are rarely noticeable in its early stages. When symptoms do appear, they can be subtle or easily mistaken for other health issues. Awareness of the signs and understanding your personal risk factors are critical. Early detection dramatically improves treatment options and outcomes. π
Anna Berkenblit, MD, MMSc, PanCAN's Chief Scientific and Medical Officer, shares: βNo one knows your body better than you. If something doesnβt feel right, donβt ignore it. Talk to your doctor and keep pushing for answers. At PanCAN, weβre working every day to make sure earlier detection and better treatments become the norm, not the exception.β
Comment KNOW, and we'll send you the seven common symptoms and signs of #pancreaticcancer you should know.

Yesterday, PanCAN President and CEO Julie Fleshman, PanCAN Chief Scientific and Medical Officer Dr. Anna Berkenblit and #pancreaticcancer researchers were on Capitol Hill to meet with members of Congress and reinforce our critical message that sustained federal investment in pancreatic cancer research drives progress β and continued funding is essential to saving more lives. π
Representing leading research institutions across the country, Dr. Mustafa Raoof of @CityofHope, Dr. Michael VanSaun of the @KUCancerCenter and Dr. Mike Pishvaian of @HopkinsMedicine joined Julie in meetings with Rep. Terri Sewell, Rep. Ken Calvert, Rep. AndrΓ© Carson, Sen. Pete Ricketts, Sen. Mike Rounds, Sen. Chris Coons, Sen. Jerry Moran and Sen. Roger Marshall.
Throughout the meetings, the group emphasized the urgent need to prioritize patients and ensure researchers have the resources necessary to continue accelerating progress against one of the deadliest cancers. Discussions focused on the importance of increased investments at the National Institutes of Health (@NIHGov), including funding for the @NationalCancerInstitute (NCI), as well as the Department of Defenseβs Pancreatic Cancer Research Program, known as PCARP.
The group highlighted the strong bipartisan support recently demonstrated through congressional Dear Colleague letters supporting pancreatic cancer research funding. The conversations also underscored the growing momentum in the pancreatic cancer field, including excitement surrounding recent breakthroughs involving RAS inhibitor therapies. Researchers shared how these advances demonstrate what is possible when federal investment fuels scientific discovery β while also making clear that much more work remains.
The meetings were productive and encouraging, reinforcing the importance of continued advocacy from you and the rest of our community to help secure the federal funding needed to drive future breakthroughs for patients with pancreatic cancer and families. π£

Because of so many of you, we raised $1,711 for pancreatic cancer research and were a Top 10 Team for our South Carolina PurpleStride. Seeing our team name printed on the back of that shirt for the 2nd year makes me so proud!
Thank you to every single person who donated, shared and showed up β your support really means a lot to me! Grief looks different every year, but honoring my mom will always be something I show up for."
Thank you to @jddursty and to all who showed up to walk to end #pancreaticcancer at #PanCANPurpleStride! All together, we can change the story of this disease. ππ«Ά
Fundraising for PurpleStride 2026 is still open β thereβs still time to support a Strider, team or event at π purplestride.org.

Right now, Congress is making decisions that will directly shape the future of #pancreaticcancer research β and patient outcomes. Make your stance known once again. π£π
Soon, the House Appropriations Committee will mark up the bills that fund lifesaving federal cancer research. But by the time those mark ups happen, many funding decisions will already be made. That means the next few weeks are critical to weigh in.
Will you tell Congress to reject cuts and prioritize pancreatic cancer research funding now? Take action now at π the link in our profile.
Thank you for using your voice to change the story of pancreatic cancer and turn science into survival for patients and families.

Since people with #pancreaticcancer often have fewer treatment options compared to other diseases, clinical trials are the best way to access therapies that are new and possibly better than the standard of care. PanCAN strongly recommends clinical trials at diagnosis and during every treatment decision. We want to empower all people with pancreatic cancer to explore clinical trials as a treatment option. πππ
