This work begins with a simple but important question: who are you?
In the residency conceived by ART:DIS and @p71sma, each dancer is invited to present a part of themselves - the gestures, habits, and qualities that make them who they are. These individual offerings become the building blocks of the choreography.
Rather than smoothing differences, the process holds them, allowing distinct personalities to sit side by side, overlap, and shape the work collectively.
This documentary traces that journey: from personal sharing to collective composition, where identity is not reduced, but layered into something larger.
A reminder that a community is not made by sameness, but by the space to be fully yourself.
A moment, a movement, a meeting of many selves.
“Hello, my name is” unfolded as a shared space of presence, play, and recognition - where artists moved through each other’s stories with honesty, humour, and care. What emerged was more than performance; it was a collective act of being seen.

Artiqa Faryaini is a Malay Dance art practitioner and a school instructor. Her growth in the Malay dance arts scene has led her to work and collaborate with other art practitioners including those who practice other arts forms outside of her usual practice. Her desire to explore and integrate traditional and contemporary movements as a means to realign the mind and body.

Dinie Dasuki (Choreographer)
Dinie is a Malay dance practitioner, choreographer, and educator rooted in tradition while exploring contemporary expressions. Fascinated by the synergy between mind and body, he investigates how movement reflects states of being. He trained under Osman Abdul Hamid and regional artists from Indonesia, and is a leading member of Era Dance Theatre, contributing to training, choreography, and concepts. Dinie also teaches school CCAs and holds a Specialist Diploma in Arts Education from NIE International.

Haziq Noorazwa is a versatile dance artist whose foundation in street dance shapes his dynamic movement quality and musicality. Rooted in grooves, textures, and freestyle culture, his street background seamlessly intertwines with contemporary and Malay traditional influences, creating works that feel both grounded and expressive. Driven by emotion and storytelling, Haziq crafts performances that honour culture while embracing evolution, bringing authenticity, depth, and individuality to every stage he steps on.

Sharul is a versatile Malay dance artist, performer, choreographer and educator, Artistic Director of Artiste Seni Budaya and Founder of S4cred Conn8tion. Internationally experienced, he explores contemporary expressions rooted in tradition. A LASALLE graduate, he is committed to deepening and evolving Malay dance through performance-making and community connection.

Ainin Sofiya (Choreographer)
Ainin Sofiya is a dance artist and co-founder of Artistari Gentari. Since joining the company in 2015, she has grown from a student dancer into a key artistic presence, currently serving as Company Manager while continuing to shape the company’s creative direction alongside Artistic Director Badarudin Hassan. Her work bridges traditional and contemporary vocabularies, centering on womanhood, motherhood, and deeply embodied personal narratives.

Lyn Hanis (Choreographer)
Lyn is a trained performing arts practitioner in both contemporary and Nusantara forms. She graduated from Jakarta Institute of The Arts, (IKJ) in Performing Arts majoring in Performance Choreography. She returned to Singapore late 2017 and has continued to practice her artistic forms here. Focusing more on contemporary arts first, Lyn now defines herself as a movement practitioner, exploring from movement foundations of the different genres that her body has learned – and also analysing movement flows revolving around trauma responses and triggers.
