[INEX014] Ossian Flavin’s debut track Smith Of The West presents a landscape woven together by phasing strings, ethereal voices, spatial effects and background noise; a sacral meditation in which time is stretched out and prolonged into a fickle state of bliss.
In the long-running collaboration with AK Cinder, Flavin embellishes their musical production with distorted kicks, ephemeral strings and high-paced arpeggios – spanning from gabber-infused electronica to manipulated chamber music and choral works. At the center of every production — wether it be a high-paced stomper or an exertion in digital music production — lies a deep fascination of the sacred and the heart-wrenchingly beautiful.
