She’ll be joining us at One Yoga Vancouver on May 24th for a beautiful workshop:
Mindful Movement, Mantra & Meditation.
In this clip, Maitreyi speaks about the often-forgotten yogic tool of Jati — simple, playful movement practices that can help us understand how trauma is stored in the body, support nervous system regulation, and gently prepare us for meditation rather than forcing stillness.
I loved hearing her approach to Yoga: moving not to suffer, but to savor the subtle and become more sensitive to life, sound, emotion, and consciousness.
