Oddaný presents ‘Banquet’, a group exhibition by Madeleine Palmer, Holly Hunt and Georgia Harding, curated by Coco Stallman.

Through historical and contemporary modes, ‘Banquet’ investigates the inner workings of a banquet’s structural forms, rituals and traditions. As an environment of collaboration with a tendency for the performative, the banquet contemplates understandings of hierarchies through modes of excess and material accumulation. It is never static, with its most fundamental elements constantly shifting and evolving through time, creating instances which question our capacities of transcendence beyond the theatrical, the ornamental and the divine.

Oddaný Bookstore is dedicated to supporting Melbourne’s thriving community of independent publishers, writers, and art book enthusiasts, currently stocking over sixty titles spanning the realms of visual art, criticism, photography, design & architecture, journalism, poetry and fiction.
The bookstore is also currently home to p0litrix library, with a curated collection for borrowing.
