Erin Neff Garmezy
Flameworking & hotshop. Soft glass & boro. Renovating a barn studio aka Dragon Ranch. Wife of @garmezyglass.
Come join us @camocagi_theglassfurnace in Istanbul! This is hands down @neffel and my favorite place to teach. August 31st -September 11th!
Join @neffel and I for opening night at @eggxtraordinaire in Paris! Unveiling our newest glass sculpture “Graine de Vie” 🇫🇷✨
At its core, the piece tells the story of the cacao beanits origin, its environment, and the extraordinary ecosystem that brings it to life. Every creature and element enveloping the seed reflects the wild world that makes chocolate possible.
We’re honored for this work to be part of @eggxtraordinaire , alongside the world’s most celebrated chocolate masters including @pierrehermeofficial @frederic.bau, @madamezefrench, @valrhona and @galeriejoseph @acumenmagazine
Crafted entirely from molten glass and hand finished to evoke dark and white chocolate, with accents of 24K gold leaf, this sculpture blurs the line between glass, nature, and indulgence. 🍫✨
Can’t wait to share more!

Do you remember the first time you saw a dinosaur? Please share it. ❤️ 🦖
Edith is a life-sized glass Dakotaraptor created to rekindle the sense of wonder we feel as children when we were first exposed to the idea of dinosaurs. Awe and curiosity are essential to how we connect with history, art, and discovery. This work is an invitation to feel that spark again.#art #dinosaur #artcollector #fossil #fyp @granada.gallery @mobileglassblowingstudios @kuglercolors

Edith is a life-sized glass Dakotaraptor created to rekindle the sense of wonder we feel as children when we were first exposed to the idea of dinosaurs. Awe and curiosity are essential to how we connect with history, art, and discovery. This work is an invitation to feel that spark again.
Representing one of North America’s largest and most agile predators, every bone in Edith is individually hand-sculpted from molten glass at over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. No molds are used. Each form is shaped freehand, relying on heat, gravity, and physical control to capture structure, motion, and presence.
The mirrored surfaces place the viewer inside a vanished world and underscore the impermanence shared by both observer and subject. Much of the Dakotaraptor’s life remains unknown, and that uncertainty lives at the core of the work, occupying the
space between scientific record and artistic imagination.
The name Edith, meaning “prosperous in battle,” reflects both the animal’s remarkable presence in its time and the challenges of glass as an artistic medium. The work is a meditation on impermanence and rediscovery, reminding us that even the mightiest
creatures vanish, yet their presence can continue to inspire awe millions of years later.
