My type of Chinatown

Chinatown really isn’t all about touristy stuff like eating Mixue or visiting the Buddha tooth relic temple. Even in the heart of Chinatown, there are HDBs and small shops still often visited by the locals but have been overshadowed by what tourists have come to know as Singapore’s Chinatown.

Sometimes I like wandering around these places, looking for shops and talking to the owners. You get really interesting stories and feel like you become wrapped within their world.

I haven’t posted in a long while, but it never meant that I was quitting photography. It was just that I needed time to rediscover what photography meant to me and how to continue to tell stories and create sets that I would be proud of even if it did not get much attention.

The sun before the storm

Went to Johor Bahru to go and discover some of the bazaars they had going on. Originally the sun was up and it was quite hot, but quickly the weather changed for the worse, the rain wouldn’t stop pouring, the roads started flooding and I was left under the small food tent with no umbrella.

These photos were taken right before the rain so I feel like the name is really aptly chosen! Part 1 of JB set.
