First glimpse from yesterday’s SXSW 2026 premiere of Humble Monuments, an augmented-reality installation by @rashinfahandej , @joannamartine and myself, exploring the fragile interdependencies that sustain life.

Unfolding where the visible and invisible city coexist, the work invites reflection on what we choose to remember, protect, and cultivate together.

Visitors wander through layered soundscapes and three-dimensional digital plantscapes that reveal intimate human stories embedded in the site. Each “humble monument” bridges presence and loss—conjuring what is here, what has vanished, and what remains possible. The voice heard in this little excerpt belongs to Kate Brown, MIT historian and author of the book Tiny Gardens Everywhere, and the person seen wandering through is Meg Wood, Austin based herbalist and project contributor. Other collaborators include several members of the Austin based Festival Beach Food Forest collective.

Part of Layers of Place Austin, a public AR exhibition of six location-based interactive works presented by @opendoclab.

Chronicle of a Fall (single stream version) is up and running at the Vienna Art Week!

An immersive video installation, the project depicts the experiences of six immigrant cultural-workers from the Middle East, Africa and Central America, who negotiate the meaning of home within a precarious socio-political landscape.

Excerpts from my recent live broadcast performance Sedeq. Making art in a time of genocide seems impossible but also maybe, necessary? I don’t know anymore.

קליפים מתוך ההופעה המשודרת שלי, ״סדק״, מפסטיבל סרטי אמנים במוזיאון ישראל וארטפורט. קשה אבל אולי גם הכרחי ליצור אמנות בזמן רצח עם?

We can't wait for the festival to start — just 6 days to go (but who's counting?) 🎞️
But until then, here’s what’s coming up on Thursday, July 10th — the second night at Ticho House in Jerusalem and the first night at Artport Tel Aviv 🎬

Two cities, one evening, plenty to dive into:

📽️ At Artport, Tel Aviv:
[ ▸ ] Fault — a live audio-visual performance by Nadav Assor, streaming in from Providence USA
@nadassor

[ ▸ ] The New Forms of the Self — a screening program about identity politics to new forms of subjectivity—shaped in part by algorithms and artificial intelligence
@yaelslom @amiryatziv

📽️ At Ticho House, Jerusalem:
[ ▸ ] How to Read Drawing Films — a visual talk with Maya Zack
@maya__zack

[ ▸ ] Fault

[ ▸ ] The New Forms of the Self

[ ▸ ] Carriers of Otherness — a powerful film program exploring personal and collective identity, whether formed by diasporic memory or the imagination, offering a broader perspective on survival and the possibility of reaffiliation
@yaelbartana @amora_mundi @nirshauloff @daniel__laufer

Free entry in both cities — come early and grab your seat ✨

Less than two weeks left for our show of 'Chronicle of a Fall' at Bates College!

We would love for you to come by if you can!

All too relevant to the current state of affairs, ‘Chronicle of a Fall’ depicts the fragmented, in-transit, experience of six immigrant cultural workers from the Middle East, Africa and the Global South.

A link to more information on the work, and to the exhibition’s location and times, can be found in the bio.
