Pretty cool milestone 🏆

The creative studio I’ve been building picked up its first industry awards this week. Three @tellyawards across two projects. One for our post production contributions on a @jlabaudio spot, and two more for a 3D spot I produced and directed for @kizik.

Grateful and honored

Some cool candid photos from the Tetons taken by the talented @jleebz. I want to be back up in the mountains again already. Dreaming of my next adventure.

Exploring the Teton Crest Trail 🏔️
4 days. 40 miles. 4 homies.
Max elevation: 10.6k
Elevation gain: 9k

We hiked through multiple forests, meadows, canyons, around lakes and summited the tops of mountains. It’s wild how much the scenery can change and evolve as you move through it, just in one days time.

This was my first time tent camping (slept like absolute 💩) and going on a multi-day adventure. I’ve always felt called to the Tetons since I watched @tetongravity videos of people snowboarding on it in college. So I felt honored to join the group when @jleebz invited me.

From being unable to find a place to pitch a tent, to eating late at night with bats circling overhead, @srndipityinhell nearly catching on fire and making me laugh like crazy to @micah.core explaining the origins of fish and being a kind soul, I learned a ton and am super grateful for the opportunity to disconnect and discover. Mostly shot on my @insta360 and only survived due to my @durstongear and @windthrow.store @arcteryx swag. What should I do next??

Best way to spend a Sunday. 50 miles up to the palisades and back. Did some quick tests with the insta360 x4. This camera is so cool

If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you! Thank you to everyone who supported me or asked me how things were going during my 6 month training. :) I’m going to do a one hundred mile bike ride next. Cycling fucking rules. Swimming is pretty chill too. Running sucks 😂

6 more weeks until my Ironman 70.3. When I signed up I had zero swim experience, and could barely go 25 meters before I was out of breath. Now, in just a handful of months, I’ve swam tens of thousands of meters in the pool and I’m starting to conquer my fear of the open water. I think we’re all capable of a lot more than we think. Most of our limitations are self imposed. Being a noob, and not knowing what you’re doing, is good for you. It feels so uncomfortable and awkward, but that discomfort is a sign that you’re growing. 🤠

In Shibuya, at a used camera shop, I bought an Olympus point and shoot. One of my goals this year is to shoot 12 rolls of film and I ended up going through 4 while I was in Japan. It was meditative to walk around, at a slower pace, seeking out moments to capture. I want to move like that everywhere I go. Without urgency to get to my destination. Curious and observant.

Spent the day cycling around #kyoto and eating more food than a normal man can handle. In love with #japan. Also ate a full pizza to myself when I got back to the hotel. That part probably wasn’t necessary but it’s okay.
