for this runway theme, Choriza and I took inspiration from the statue of Britannia, mixing inspirations from draped robes and female armor pieces.
the outcome ended up being a little different from our original design (which you can see bits of in the second slide), but in spite of all odds, Miss Chorizo pulled it together last minute quite nicely.

Reflecting on the progress I've achieved over the past four years brings me immense satisfaction and pride. This yearly redesign ritual provides a clear insight into my technique development by depicting the same subject with a similar design on a consistent character. Without this practice, I might not have personally recognized the extent of my improvement.
I hope this can inspire you all to practice and perfect your own craft.

When coming up with a design for my 4th iteration of this look, @thisiscraves 's groovy sparkly alien render served as the main inspiration for this whole piece. The pose is referncial of Vanessa Hudgens shot by the amazing and forever inspiring @franzszony . And all the other elements followed those 2 main inspirations, pulling from old vintage glamour and dramatic couture runways, creating a dramatic silhouette paired with sparkly details that resemble fireworks and sparklers in the dark night of another new year celebration.

The shape of this adorable insect has inspired a full length puffer-style gown in a crystal silk satin type magenta fabric.
•
The makeup and styling were informed by the white protecting covering that cochineal forms while feeding off of cactus juice , while the organic shapes throughout the design are a nod to PCI's description of this specific shade of magenta as a "shade rooted in nature and expressive of a new signal of strength".
