Monaghan County Council is delighted to launch Phase 2 of the Community Climate Action Programme, supporting 20 community groups to deliver practical climate projects in towns, villages and rural areas across the county.
Funded by @deptcee under the Community Climate Action Programme, this allows communities to be at the heart of climate action — supporting projects such as:
☀️ Solar PV & battery storage
🚲 Bicycle racks
💧 Water refill stations
💡 Energy efficient lighting
🌳 Native tree & hedgerow planting
🌧️ Rain water harvesting
These projects will help deliver the Monaghan County Council Climate Action Plan, reducing emissions, enhancing biodiversity and building climate resilience at local level.
👏 Well done to all the participating community groups — we look forward to seeing the positive impact across Monaghan.
