Irish designer Megan Nolan Walsh, or MNW, is known for her woven Claddagh scarves and embellished tees all inspired by Celtic mythology and iconography. Fighe (‘weaving’ as gaeilge) is her first solo exhibition displaying three woven and beaded pieces that have been handcrafted between Norway and Ireland. Running from 1—3 May at Kirko’s Ensemble with an opening event this evening, we chat to the design about what we can expect from Fighe.

Woven & textiles exhibition opening night on the 30th of April!!!

On the opening night, we will havefood by @purehungryy, flowers by @seachto_ and a live set by @kelsorosie. The exhibition only runs for 4 days with opening night the 30th of April at 6pm and closing the 3rd of May.

This is my first ever solo exhibition where I'll be exhibiting my woven and embriodered pieces that I've been working on over the last few months! These pieces explore my love for weave and textiles and how I ended up starting mnw!

Been working on some woven pieces over the past couple of months, here's a quick look into the processes. I'm delighted to announce that I'll be exhibiting a 3 piece woven and beaded collection as part of my first solo exhibition!
