It was amazing to see and meet so many pharmacy content creators in person. I’m always the only one in the room and it’s nice to see our profession is finally receiving the recognition it deserves.

Who is MillennialRx?

Well allow me to reintroduce myself. I realized the last time I formally went through my background, only a couple thousand of you followed me at the time. I think now is the perfect time to restart and get back to my normal content.

I started my platform because I wanted to highlight the pharmacy profession and share with the general public that pharmacists do more than just “count pills and slap a label on it”. For those who have been following me since the beginning you’ve been able to see me go through different careers in pharmacy (and all of the jobs I had I never knew were possible as a pharmacy student). And through this it’s allowed me to use my platform to share with future and current pharmacy students careers they may not even realize were possibilities for them.

Thank you all for following along whether it was just this past week or for the past couple of years, I’m extremely thankful to use my platform to provide accessible education to everyone.

In case you didn’t know an LED mask will not moisturize your dry skin in 8 days.

Dry skin is usually a skin barrier + water loss issue not something red light therapy “fixes” in one weekend.

This is how misinformation spreads and people purchase products they may not even need. LED masks can be helpful in certain scenarios I review but it’s mostly an add on therapy.

Afrin can feel like magic when you’re congested… but it’s not something I’d use casually. 👀

As a pharmacist, I usually think of Afrin/oxymetazoline as more of a last-resort, short-term option because using it too long can lead to rebound congestion (where your nose feels even more blocked once it wears off).

And if your congestion is from allergies, Afrin isn’t actually treating the allergy pathway. It doesn’t help the histamine/immune response causing sneezing, itching, watery eyes, or ongoing inflammation. It’s basically just temporarily shrinking swollen blood vessels in your nose.

In general: don’t use Afrin for more than 3 days unless your healthcare provider tells you otherwise.
