Dear pards 🦇
Ten years ago the pirate captain @benhoward_ released ‘I Forget Where We Were’ to the cosmos.
From the West coast of Ireland to months in big cold barns on the Ansells farm down at Start Point, we weathered some wild seasons previous whilst recording.
Working with Ben alongside the musical wizardry of @chrisbondmusic @bearvibes @indiabourne @natwason @timmy.ayers was an epic journey pushing ourselves to create the best record we could.
It was a special moment in time full of strange magic amongst incredible musicians, beautiful production and one helluva songwriter.
A decade on we’ve been playing the record live once more, rediscovering the heart & spirit of songs in different ways each night.
Back then the process felt like a pretty huge moment personally. It’s all sent us many times round the world since, been a heartbeat to so much, so I just wanted to acknowledge these memories.
Much has changed, much remains the same. I feel deep gratitude for the love, sacrifice & incredible belief of @riviesmith & our family every wild step of the way; and for the myriad unbelievable cosmic journeys Ben has taken us on over the years.
Thankful for all band & crew mates past and present, absolute legends of the highest calibre - a pleasure and a privilege rolling on bitumen together pards.
Thankyou @od_management for navigating us through it all with love, vision and a huge grin.
To anyone that’s ever listened, bought a record or come to a show with an open heart and mind as we attempt to pry open doors of perception, thankyou for your support and energy!
Life’s a fuckin wild ride, sometimes it’s good to take stock of where you’re at and give thanks to wherever the hell you might’ve been before moving on again.
Heres a couple of the photographs I took during our long winter working on IFWWW. Way back then the dearly missed @alastairsopp kindly laid these out together, in a way for us to remember it all 🖤
Meur ras ye cosmic pards ✨

The elements have aligned for us to play Kernows legendary MINACK THEATRE not once, but twice!✨
This strange beautiful stretch of Cornish coast has an influence on our hearts & music that goes way back.
I grew up learning out in the salt beneath those wild cliffs, my kids are doing the same now. Nat, Todd & Richie all have their own lifelong connections coming from here to.
Memories, sanctuary, history, love, sorrow, wonder, waves, even a couple close calls with Davey Jones locker ⚓️
Feels like some kinda homecoming of worlds finally playing there after so long anyways 🌊
Friday 19th is sold out, but there’s tickets still available for Thurs 18th 🏴☠️
Thanks to all the lovely pards out there supporting our music x

I’ve felt pretty powerless watching this relentless ultra violence unfold but figure here’s a small act for those dealing with horror on the ground.
Be excellent to each other you bewtys x
