📢 Le temps d’un week-end, le #quaiBranly accueille le collectif @nyegenyegefest !

Issu de la bouillonnante scène underground de Kampala (Ouganda) et fer de lance des musiques électroniques du continent, le collectif Nyege Nyege sera en concert les samedi 11 et dimanche 12 avril ! 🌍️

Au programme du week-end ⤵️

🎺 HHY & The Kampala Unit réunit le musicien portugais et artiste pluridisciplinaire HHY (Jonathan Saldanha) et la trompettiste ougandaise Florence Nandawula.

Leur univers mêle dub, percussions et cuivres hypnotiques dans une transe nourrie de textures électroniques et d’une rythmique en constante mutation. Pour l’occasion, le groupe sera accompagné d’une section de cuivres élargie.
Rejoint par MC Yallah, le projet prend la forme d’une création scénique où musique, performance et danse se rencontrent. Le danseur ougandais Junior Usher interviendra sur scène, accompagné de visuels live signés @tarik_barri. ☀️

🎺 Quand l’énergie brute des percussions d’Arsenal Mikebe rencontre la poésie sonore du britannique Shabaka Hutchings, figure incontournable du jazz contemporain, naît une conversation musicale inédite entre deux forces créatrices, radicales et complémentaires.

D’un côté, les sonorités futuristes et hypnotiques de l’ensemble ougandais Arsenal Mikebe, proches de la transe. De l’autre, Shabaka Hutchings, explorateur infatigable de nouveaux territoires musicaux, qui concentre désormais son énergie sur la flûte, après avoir marqué le jazz contemporain au saxophone. 🎷

💥 Ensemble, ils ouvrent un espace rare et explosif qui repense les frontières musicales, accompagné de visuels live signés Tarik Barri et d'une interventions de @kinact_festival.
