Happy Belated Birthday to @raykennedyproducer !
Excited to share with y’all that I recorded a new EP produced by this legend who has produced famous grammy winning albums by Lucinda Williams and Steve Earle in the past. I’m stoked for you to hear what we worked on!Be on the look out for the first single coming out at the end of June, featuring a very special surprise guest… This EP is gonna be stripped down, bare bones… me and the guitar, back to the roots. Inspired by my recent experiences of touring and performing solo, I had this idea that some songs sound better with less than more. Its my gonna be leaning Folkie for sure friends, Ray had me singing into this microphone that Hank Williams sang into and got my guitar sounding just right. Can’t wait for y’all to hear what we got cooking for ya!
As I take in some of the most iconic views in the Southwest, I keep coming back to how much these places shaped me — I didn’t even realize it until I was standing in them.
It’s easy to see why the Grand Canyon is considered one of the seven natural wonders of the world. It’s a must-see for millions of people every single year! But hotter temperatures are transforming the park’s ecosystems, heat rescues on the trails are increasing and the Colorado River that runs through it is running out of water — and at Saguaro National Park in Arizona, over 1.6 million giant saguaros make up the largest forest of its kind in the world. But extreme heat, invasive plants and the wildfires they spark in a landscape that never evolved to handle them are putting these iconic cacti at risk.
This is happening across our national parks. Glaciers are melting, species are disappearing and landscapes that took millions of years to form are changing faster than we ever imagined.
Our national parks belong to all of us. Once they’re gone, we don’t get them back.
