Three fotos…

I’ve been hankering for 18 months to photograph Linda, Lisa‘s mom, in water wearing white and the summer was dissipating quickly yet the water in Walden was still warm the day was overcast nobody was swimming we made a beeline to meet at2:15 sharp
BUT unfortunately and fortunatelyon my way there I got a call from emily and she said that Matt found my camera at kickstand Café where I had left it so Emily who comes through in the clutch as much as a five speed fiat rushed over with the camera and art directed with Lisa and held this big ass flash on a stand and Linda was AMAZING AMAZINGand all I had to do is press the button a few hundred times
AND 18 months of photographing every day and editing every night all paid off to prepare me for today. Sorry about the run-on sentence I’m just speaking into my phone and hoping that this makes sense.

But you know how when you do something that you feel really good about and it almost doesn’t matter if other people like it this is one of those situations… If I die in my sleep I want this first photo to run on the cover of photographers anonymous quarterly magazine published by the crazy compulsive people that we are.

•On an incredibly windy day in an incredibly windy part of Atlantic City I saw Joyce on a street corner trying to not blow away. I jumped out of my car and held on to her for two blocks…till she got to the casino.
Then raced back to my car which apparently I left running.

I remembered Frankfurt was the capital of Kentucky because my grandmother taught me that they ate frankfurters at the Kentucky Derby.

So of course, we decided to call the governors office and arrange to shoot a portrait of him. Somehow that worked out.

Well, I was photographing the actual Ben and the actual Jerry outside their Newbury Street loc. And a tour bus trolley thing drove by and the guide said “on your left is Ben and Jerry’s which seemed like the funnest useless thing to point out.
And as if on cue..the two bearded guys stood up and waved to the tourists and it was clear that no one realized it was the actual B&J.
