Last one before the big one 👀 - so nice to run some home trails, even on tired legs. 🍳

‘My first 100 miler was 200 miles’. I don’t really have the words for all of this right now. All I want to say is that I am incredibly grateful for everyone who has followed along. I’ve had SO many messages this week that honestly I was so shocked by how many of you were interested in this silly adventure of mine. After 110 hours on the trail, I finished late last night in Courmayer. I can’t thank everyone enough for their support but particularly @anna_petits_bois who has not only been the perfect crew and the person I’ve looked forward to seeing most at every aid station. But who has also been on this journey with me for months! Thank you darling… We did it! @tordesgeants

How to prepare for your ultra marathon.

Step one - complete one week of training.

Step two - break leg skiing.

Step three - spend four weeks in a cast before slipping on a wet floor and breaking it again.

Step four - get surgery.

Step five - wait.

Step six - learn to walk again. (You are here…)

I’m told running this summer isn’t very realistic. Makes sense. It’s been a rough couple of months. I’ve spent so long on the sofa that my left leg barely feels like it belongs to me anymore. But we keep moving forward. One wobbly step at a time.

*don’t swipe to the end if you don’t want to see.

Between Moab and Cape Town we did a pretty good job of extending summer this year. But I think the endless summer might finally be over. ☀️
