I made this collage for my 2nd solo exhibition “Blooming In plain sight” circa 2024. Though this piece didn’t make it into the show it has always stayed with me…resonated deeply…this work of art feels like a journal entry

This book is so beautifully written and has given language to me as an artist why I’m so moved by nature and floral within my work.

I don’t think I’ve shared this collage before. I saw it in my photos and was reminded… I need to visit the beach real soon 🙏🏾🌊✨

One of my favorite parts about creating collages is at the very beginning… when you sit with the material… ponder over it… rearrange it… walk away and then return back to it… then you start asking questions about what story this piece wants to tell. Collage is a beautiful process indeed 🙏🏾✂️💫
