We made a short film in Kenya about eco fashion and we recently heard it was going to be shown at the global UN conference about improving cities and it even won an award there too! It's also been chosen for other festivals around the world - from the USA to Ukraine (a very brave group who wanted to keep their festival going), to India, Spain, Canada... and it's won awards at some of those festivals too.

This is also a good time to pay tribute to Freddie (@freddiereedphoto) who is coming to the end of his time in South Africa and has served the community of Manenberg by living there with his amazing hospitality and giving his time to teach and raise up filmmakers - he has done an incredible job and is such as example of what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Some work from last year - a film for BBC Storyworks about Type 1 diabetes in Guinea.

This shoot was always on the edge with the country close to shut down as Freddie and Malcolm were due to fly. They also narrowly avoided the coup as they left.

DOP/grade: @freddiereedphoto
AC/drone op: @malcolm_rainers
Editor/Sound: @nicholasjlear
Producer: Isabel Colbourn

Our film school students reunited to watch their own handiwork - the films that each of the five teams had shot back in May, accompanied by parents and friends. It was such a great night! They received their certificates and it was great to be together again.

The films have been shared widely on Facebook too and have had so many encouarging comments. Claudia's story has had over 100,000 views!
