The brief:
The goal for the website was to differentiate the program among the other schools in Ontario that focused on their unique program offerings to incoming students.

At Lakehead, students have the opportunity to start their engineering education at any level whether they are coming from high school with no course pre requisites, or wanting to upgrade their college diploma. Thus the home page needed to demonstrate these different pathways right away and guide the reader to the correct application page.

The site also functions as a hub for all faculty and students to keep up to date on latest news, programs and events, and express the learning culture and core beliefs of the faculty.

Ledgerlist is an accounting software that gives accounts tools to manage their clients’ crypto assets.

I think the type and logo are pairing well. The off-white secondary colour makes the red less aggressive. Red can be an intimidating colour in the context of finances but burgundy can achieve a the more professional feeling that accountants value.

This is the accompanying single page website for the Gluca App made a couple months back.

✅ The main goals of this page is to educate visitors to learn about the core features, demonstrate how it performs better than current glucose monitoring apps, and acquire new users.

Gluca — This was a fourth year interaction design project that was continued as a greater passion project.

After initially being interested at current diabetes tracking systems I was disappointed in how bad looking the interfaces and data visualizations were. Especially how many people used these apps every day (many people’s lives depend on them).

To gain a greater perspective, I got in touch with real individuals with Type 1 & 2, and found out they really wanted a system where predictions and recommendations could be made day to day, as well as showing how key external factors such as exercise, eating and lifestyle changes may change their insulin and sugar requirements.

The challenge was to make the UI informative without inducing huge negatives spikes of emotion with a bad or off reading.

The decided name Beyond Eyewear, came from the founding principal of wanting to offer more, be more and do more as a fashion eyewear and eye care store. Just as the name suggests, Beyond Eyewear is about making sure needs of customers are met — beyond the status quo.
