Freshman year I started off at Miami Ohio surrounded comfortability and excitement for starting college. As things go, I changed my mind and in less than a week I decided to transfer schools and move to New York City leaving that comfortability behind. I packed up my life into two suitcases and hopped on a plane headed for the big apple.

Here, I’ve met my best friends, joined a dance company, walked NYFW, ran a half marathon, made my NYC acting, singing and dancing debuts and finally graduated with a B.F.A in Acting and a B.A in Directing from Marymount Manhattan College (the last graduating class, may I add). Every step has been worth it, and I don’t regret a single thing.

I couldn’t be more proud of myself and how far I have come from the little girl that dreamed of living in New York City to living here for three years and counting.

Around a month ago I ran the NYC Half Marathon! I genuinely couldn’t be more proud of myself and the work I put into training. From barely being able to run a mile without stopping in August to running 13.1 miles! I don’t know what was going through my head when I decided to sign up but it was worth every ache and pain. I ran that race with a smile on my face the whole time.

& now I’m training for the NYC MARATHONNNN!!

But in order to run it I have to raise $4,000. If you check out @maddeeruns there is a link in my bio to donate.

I am running with Team for Kids, that uses the money donated to buy sports equipment for children. It would mean the world to me if you could support me during this journey and training period and donate. Literally anything helps!
