Made it New Bern quick paint event!Unfortunately, I didn't win but I noticed that I was way better than I was last year so I'm headed in the right direction. We had great weather and learned a good deal from other artists this year. It was nice meeting other artists from all over sharing stories of the craft. Can't wait til next year! Also, if you're new to town then check out Lawson's on the creek!

So much was going on in the triangle today! I stopped by the historic park and painted some walnut trees in a grove, it's a peaceful place by the way. In that peace a whirlwind of children came by spotted me getting ready, thinking they were going to watch me paint I continued on. Instead, I noticed that these children had a spark of joy for painting, one even saw a future in it. This stopped me in whatever endeavors I had in mind so we ended up finger painting for a while and it overwhelmed me a bit but not in a bad way. Gotta thank god for that interaction because I haven't been a spirit that excited for art like that. That's all I've got to say about that.

After a meetup, I headed to Wake forest to find a great place to paint called Green Hills county park. So if any other artist are out looking for a challenging spot to paint then this might be it. The wind here was a game changer so be prepared for that! I was not but I got the info I needed to finish in the studio.

I up and got accepted to be an artist vendor for the Arts on the Block market this year on Saturday April 18 from 12-5pm. For those that don't know, arts on the block in a block party for all ages celebrating the power of community and visual art hosted by @artspacenc. Funds raised during Arts on the Block will support Artspace’s mission to provide accessible art exhibitions, affordable studio spaces, career-building artist residencies, low and no-cost art education programs, and community events. Really excited to showcase and make art available to a great community. Hope to see you there!

Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm! Where have I been? Short answer, working hard on putting a lot of work together for the year. Trust me when I say it has not been easy but I guess it wouldn't be worth it if it wasn't huh. Anyway, I couldn't resist creating a landscape painting in this NC snow(it's gone now lol).
