We mentioned this earlier in the week, but what the bloody hell does it mean?

Launched in 2022 by some of the most respected names in the Drinks Industry, The Pinnacle Guide aims to provide a Michelin Guide equivalent for cocktail bars.

Bars are judged on drinks offering, atmosphere, community and working culture- facing a rigorous application process and then an anonymous visit.

We are ecstatic to receive a Pin before we hit 1 year open.

It's been a rocky 12 months, and honestly, we're very much still struggling whilst the Arcade remains closed at night, so this was very welcome news for us to encourage us to keep going.

NEW MENU. BACK OPEN.

Well, that flew by huh. We're putting the final touches together today so we're ready to fling those doors back open for you all tomorrow.

Open Thursday-Saturday this week, normal hours from next Tuesday.

Are you excited? We're excited.

UK TOP 50 BARS

We turn 6 months old this week, so it was class to open the post last week and find out we made the @50cocktailbars list for 2026.

We'll find out where we fall on that list in February- in the meantime, you should pop in and find out why we made it on there!

ROADWORKS AND WOES

We promise this is our last little complain on here, but we thought it was important you guys can see how tough it is for us and our arcade pals.

If you're a fan of our little bar (or @brancardiffand @khione_sicilian_delicatessen ) then we need you to come and see us with purpose, because it's very unlikely you'll just be walking past for the next few months!

@cardiff_council this isn't how you show that you're doing these summer gigs for local businesses!

CLOSURE

We'll be back for the weekend, but steps have had to be taken.

Town has been damn quiet since the start of April. We've kept going with opening midweek to ensure our staff get hours so we can run well on weekends, but weekends have really fallen away too the last few weeks (yes, the Castle Street Roadworks don't help)

Basically, we're in the Endgame now. We need you guys to start showing up again for this bar to survive until the Arcade actually has footfall and stops being a building site.

We've taken this time to have a look at some changes we can make internally too, we'll be putting together a new condensed menu and we're opening up our DMs to work collaboratively with other Indie businesses (hop in ours if you're keen), so we're doing what we can.

That means extra chances to drop in for a cocktail or three - here's our Easter times below
