I am deeply pleased to share with you today the new album WOOD & WIRES, VOL. 1 by “D.H. Currier” 🎈

This is instrumental, solo guitar music for quiet, restorative moments. Porch music you could say. I used a variety of acoustic & electric guitars, recorded them to a TEAC A-1500U reel-to-reel machine & then laid a continuous layered field recording underneath the whole 9-song affair. It was masterfully mastered by @hthrjns.wav at So Big Auditory.

You can stream it in a few places, like @bandcamp (but not Spotify or Amazon), or you can just have the audio files—burn it to a CD, jam it on your phone, whatever! I will put the appropriate links in my tree.

🪵🪢 Releasing a new solo guitar + field recording album next month called WOOD & WIRES, VOL. 1 🪵🪢

It’s kind of like this video: part ‘Environments’, part contemplative guitar music—one long layered field recording, taken from several of my favorite places, lies underneath eight or nine instrumental guitar pieces I wrote mostly while watching movies. All recorded through a TEAC A-1500U 1/4” reel-to-reel machine with very little digital tampering.

I made a new rock music album (actually I think it’s a “mixtape”) & it is called ‘Helluva Swing’ & it is coming out on my birthday (July 1) ⚾️ This one excites me because it’s the first time in a long while where I played everything myself (learning to play the drums pretty close to the way I hear them in my head has been especially fulfilling) & kept it all pretty simple & direct. It’s personal & it’s political (like everything) & it’s kinda funny sometimes & it’s pretty unfiltered, straight from the hip. Anyway, I am excited to share it with you.
