Chaconia Riddim featured @TempleUniv 🌺
This project, titled “The Greenhouse Effect,” was choreographed by Lia Haynes as part of her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Dance. Attached is a snippet of the five-minute segment I had the honor of composing the music for. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate on this project alongside such talented and dedicated individuals.

Lia Haynes is a performer, choreographer, and scholar from Plainfield, New Jersey. She recently received her BFA degree in Dance and Africology and African American Studies from Temple University. Haynes has had the pleasure of opening up for Bernie Sanders along with performing in a music video for Netflix. Aside from performing for other choreographers, Haynes has choreographed several of her own pieces and showcased her work in The Black Choreographer’s Festival, Conwell Dance Theater, and NAACP events. With her broad interest in various dance styles and her passion for social justice and education, it has led her to choreograph and teach dance locally in both New Jersey and the Philadelphia area. Currently, Lia is working towards earning her master’s degree while planning to continue performing and teaching dance through an Afrocentric perspective to create socially challenging narratives both on and off stage.
