White phosphorus has poisoned the atmosphere and is expected to fall as acid rain in the coming winter.

Israel has long prevented Palestinians from tending to their agricultural lands, going so far as to uproot an estimated 800,000 olive trees since 1967.

We cannot ignore our obligation as residents on occupied Tongva land to advocate for the return of land to Indigenous caretakers, whether in Palestine or within the U.S. empire. Indigenous resistance to colonization is always justified.

Palestine is freeing us - freeing us from our complicity, from the imperialist and colonial systems that are at play all around us.

We reject the idea that anti-zionism is a form of anti-semitism. We understand that zionism is used as a political tool to enact the violent colonization of the Palestinian people - harming anyone who resists, including Jews.

🪏 Join us on Saturday, May 30th 12-1:30pm at the Mark Twain Neighborhood Library for a Composting Workshop in Khmer presented by our fellow soil builder Reth! We will go over composting basics, introduce the different composting systems and the best practices in creating and maintaining them. In addition, we'll go over the "do's and don'ts" for adding to the city's new green bins. Whether you are a beginner or a master composter, everyone is welcome to learn and share their composting experiences!

📽️ Stick around afterwards and join the library's AAPI program for adults and teens for a documentary screening of Don't Think I've Forgotten: Cambodian's Lost Rock and Roll from 2-4pm.

🦋 On Saturday, March 14th, join us at Willow Springs Park from 9am - 12pm for Monarch Day of Action! Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about native pollinators like the Monarch Butterflies, plant Narrowleaf Milkweed, interact with local organizations, and participate in eco-crafts.
