Today’s mission is more than just a reminder of the strong partnership between the US Attorney, DEA, and the LAPD; it’s an affirmation that the Federal Government’s enforcement of drug eradication in our City is back.
By joining forces with the LAPD’s Gang and Narcotics and Rampart Division personnel, together we developed a strategy to identify street-level dealers and the complex suppliers providing them with narcotics.
Through our collaborative work, investigators successfully identified three individuals responsible for supplying multi-kilogram quantities of fentanyl and multi-pound quantities of methamphetamine for distribution in MacArthur Park.
Additionally, investigators identified twenty-two more individuals involved in narcotics trafficking activities, as well as multiple locations involved in the drug trafficking operations.
The goal of this operation was to eliminate dangerous, deadly drug activity and return this beautiful park to where it belongs- the people and families of Los Angeles.

Today, alongside our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners, we announced the results of “Operation Firewall,” a coordinated effort led by the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Over the course of this operation, investigators across five Southern California counties worked tirelessly to identify predators exploiting children online and rescue victims from abuse.
The results:
• 341 arrests
• 40 children rescued
These crimes cross city and county lines — and so does our commitment to protecting children. This work is personal, and we will continue using every lawful tool available to identify, arrest, and hold offenders accountable.
Thank you to every agency, investigator, and partner who made this operation possible. Together, we remain relentless in safeguarding our communities and protecting our children.

Over the past several months, families across the San Fernando Valley and surrounding communities have felt the impact of residential burglaries.
When the safety of our communities is threatened, we will meet that challenge not as separate agencies, but united by a singular common purpose- your safety.
These crimes are frightening. We know they feel personal. And we want you to understand that we will not stand idle. We are sharing intelligence across counties and are coordinating enforcement operations to identify patterns, pursue organized burglary crews, and makearrests.
To the thieves, and organized crews who seek to profit through exploiting neighborhoods and violating homes: we will find you and hold you accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
I want to thank the men and women of the LAPD, LA County Sheriff’s Department, Ventura County Sheriff’sDepartment, and all our partner agencies who continue to work tirelessly on these investigations. Their dedication is the reason we are standing here today with results and accountability.
